Both hurlers allow just two hits, but Breiner receives offensive support in the form of single runs in the second and fourth innings. Jeff Wertman walks in the second, is sacrificed to second, and scores on a single by Steve Martinez. Slatington adds an insurance tally in the fourth as Jim Kester, who also walked, races home on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Scott Hunsicker.
