Schuylkill County - Guilty Pleas

Andrea Mazzella, 54, of Scranton, was charged by Tamaqua police with aggravated assault, simple assault, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness after an incident on April 6, 2022.

Judge Christina E. Hale accepted Mazzella’s guilty plea to simple assault and sentenced her to serve two years on probation, pay a $50 monthly supervision fee; undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation; submit a DNA sample and pay the $250 fee; and pay a total of 4150 in other fees.

Josef Deitz, 38, of Coaldale, was charged by Tamaqua police with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and disorderly conduct after an incident of Dec. 29, 2021.

Judge Christopher Hobbs accepted Deitz’s guilty plea to disorderly conduct and sentenced him to pay a $100 fine; pay $365 in Bethlehem Crime lab fees and prosecution costs.

The remaining charges were dropped.
