Schuylkill County Court - ARD

Schuylkill County Judge Christina E. Hale recently admitted two people charged by local police into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program.

Entry into the program is not an admission of guilt, and defendants’ records may be cleared if they successfully complete the program.

Ryan David Worrell, 24, of Leesport, was charged by West Penn Township Police Officer Glenn R. Laninger with manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance; driving under the influence, first offense; driving under the influence of a controlled substance (combination alcohol/drugs), first offense; intent to possess a controlled substance; use/possession of drug paraphernalia, and careless driving on March 6, 2022.

Judge Hale admitted Worrell into the ARD program for 12 months.

She ordered him to pay $50 a month for the cost of supervision, and $500 to defray the cost of the program.

His license was suspended for 60 days, and he was ordered to successfully complete the Alcohol Highway Safety School; enroll in a one to three month substance abuse treatment program; pay $100 to the Substance Abuse Education fund; and pay the costs of prosecution.

Worrell must also complete 10 hours of community service.

The charges of manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance and careless driving were dropped.

Briana Caitlyn Wanick, 23, of Berwick, was charged by McAdoo Police Officer Anthony S. Divirgilio with making false reports and disorderly conduct on July 25, 2022.

Judge Hale admitted Wanick into the ARD program for 12 months.

She ordered her to pay $50 a month for the cost of supervision, and $350 to defray the cost of the program, and complete 10 hours of community service.

Hale fined Wanick $150 on the disorderly conduct charge.
