The meeting followed an executive session, which board President Daniel Matika said was held to discuss resignations, open positions and negotiations.
At the start of the meeting, middle school students honored the board as part of School Director Recognition Month.
The students, from the Student Leadership group, presented directors with tokens of appreciation, including large “Panther” paw prints they created from colored paper and had signed by every student.
The group’s purpose, middle school Principal Lisa Mace said, is to “spread kindness wherever they can.”
