Jim Thorpe graduate Cobe Frycklund was among five members of the NCAA Division 2 Bloomsburg football team to recently earn College Sports Communications Academic All-District Honors.

An exercise science major, Frycklund played in all 11 games for the Huskies this season. He had eight total tackles, and one sack for a loss of eight yards.

Frycklund is a two-time PSAC Scholar-Athlete and a vital member of the young defensive line unit for the Huskies that caused 20 fumbles this past season.

The 2022 Academic All-District Football Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First- and second-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in late December.
