A Carbon County motorcyclist was injured in a crash earlier in November in Lehigh County.

State police at Fogelsville said the crash occurred at 2:26 p.m. on Nov. 7 along Route 309 in Lynn Township. Troopers said Elijah I. Castro, 25, of Lansford, was driving a 2003 Harley-Davidson Road fling bike eastbound at a high rate of speed. Castro lost control of the bike and crashed. As Castro fell off the bike it continued to skid down the road 20-25 feet past Castro and came to a stop in the westbound lane.

Castro suffered serious injuries and was taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, by Cetronia ambulance. He was cited for driving a vehicle at a unsafe speed.
