The traditional Thanksgiving Eve Schuylkill County Football Coaches Association All Star game will kickoff at 7 p.m. at Schuylkill Haven’s Rotary Field.

As part of its continuing community service, Lehigh Valley Health Network will once again sponsoring the event which features seniors players from across the county.

Locally, players from Jim Thorpe, Lehighton, Tamaqua, Marian and Panther Valley were selected to play in the game for the North team.

The Tamaqua coaching staff - head coach Sam Bonner and assistants Mike Bonner, Jarrett Riegel, Tyler Skripko, Tom McCabe, Duane Barron, Pete Conforti, and Devin Murphy - will be in charge of the North team

Among the area players selected for the game are:

Jim Thorpe - Brett Balliet (QB), Bill Newton (TE/LB), Dawson Meckes (K/P) David Fiorito (WR/DB), Bryson Heydt (TE/DE), Dominic Berger (OL/DL), Paul Rutledge (OL/DL) and Tiernan McCartney (OL/DL).

Lehighton - Luke Blauch (TE), Ian Rarick (WR/DB), Ethan Buchert (RB/LB/DB) and Doug Endy (OL/DL).

Tamaqua - John Klein (WR/LB), Vincent Schlosser (DE), Isaac Curvey (RB/DL), Ryan Snyder (OL/DL) and Josh Shelton (OL/DL).

Marian - Rawlin Melendez (OL/DL), Joey Walko (RB/DL), Matt Martin (RB/LB) and Andrew Baran (QB/DB).

Panther Valley - Riley Hoben (OL/DL) Dave McAndrew (WR/DB), Logan Haines (TE), Austin Hadley (FB/DL) and Mike Pascoe (QB/LB).

Also comprising the North team are players from Mahanoy Area, North Schuylkill and Shenandoah Valley.

The South is rostered with players from Blue Mountain, Pottsville, Minersville, Nativity, Pine Grove, Schuylkill Haven, Tri-Valley and Williams Valley. Nativity head coach Pat Mason and his staff will be in charge of the South team.
