Carbon County court — DUI
Three defendants, who previously entered guilty pleas to driving under the influence charges, were sentenced on Thursday afternoon in Carbon County court.
Judge Joseph J. Matika presided.
Allison L. Redline, 29, of Springbrook Township, Lackawanna County, and formerly of Bushkill, was placed in the Restrictive Conditions of Probation program (house arrest) for six months with the first 10 days spent on electronic monitoring.
She was also fined $500, license suspended for a year and ordered to render 25 hours of community service. The house arrest program will be monitored by Lackawanna County.
She was arrested on May 3, 2021, by state police at Hazleton for DUI of alcohol.
Clinton Lewis Schroeder, 48, of Allentown, was placed in the house arrest program for 60 months with the first 120 days on electronic monitoring. He was fined $1,500, license suspended for 18 months, ordered to supply a DNA sample and render 150 hours of community service.
On a charge of driving under suspension he was fined $1,000.
He was arrested on June 20, 2021, by state police at Lehighton along Route 248 in Franklin Township for DUI of a controlled substance.
Amanda J. Hosier, 38, of Lehighton, was sentenced to serve 72 hours to 60 months in jail, pay a fine of $1,000, license suspended for 18 months, supply a DNA sample and render 100 hours of community service.
She arrested on April 26, 2021, by state police at Lehighton along Route 209 near Bridge Street in Lehighton, for DUI of a controlled substance. An endangering the welfare of a child count was dropped in a plea deal.
Each defendant must also pay court costs of over $1,000, pay a $50 per month supervision fee while in the program and follow any recommendation of their drug and alcohol evaluation.
