Mortgage foreclosures

Loan default

Toyota Motor Credit Corporation, Box 9490, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, filed a civil action against Melissa Hoover, 40 Springgarden St., Lansford, and Verna Mascolo, 2085 Westgate Drive, Bethlehem, alleging they defaulted on a motor vehicle loan.

Sought is $3,552.16 plus interest, costs and fees.

Slip/fall suit

Mildred Morales, 270 E. Water St., Coaldale, filed a civil complaint against Done By Dunegan, LLC, doing business as Riverwalck Saloon, LLC, 101 Center St., Parryville, and two unnamed defendants referred to as John Doe 1 and John Doe 2, referred to as employees of the defendant firm.

The suit states on Aug. 2, 2020, the plaintiff was at the defendant business in an outdoor area of the restaurant, with family enjoying a meal. The suit alleges that “suddenly and without any warning, as plaintiff attempted to stand up and step away from her family’s dinner table, she was caused to trip and fall to the ground after stepping on a wooden board used for the bean bag toss games that are spread out on the floor of the restaurant premises.” The suit further alleges these bean bag games were placed improperly on the floor too close to the plaintiff’s dinner table.

Negligence is alleged against the defendants and sought are damages for injuries sustained and detailed in the suit.

Damages in excess of $50,000 are sought.
