A Bucks County man entered guilty pleas on Tuesday in Carbon County court in five pending criminal cases.
William Michell, 40, of Bristol, pleaded to two counts of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and one count each of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and retail theft.
He was arrested on the DUI charges on March 1, 2021, by state police at Lehighton; and on Dec. 13, 2020, also by state police at Lehighton.
He was charged with the possession of a controlled substance count on Feb. 3, 2021, and possession of drug paraphernalia on Aug. 1, 2020, both filed by Lansford police. The retail theft occurred on July 8, 2021, at Lowe’s in Mahoning Township.
Michell is currently an inmate in the county prison on the charges.
Sentencing was deferred.
