Polk Township supervisors conducted the following business during their meeting Monday:
• Announced the Veterans Memorial Rededication Ceremony will be held Sunday, May 29 at 2 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
• The township will purchase 500 tons of blacktop from Eureka Stone Quarry. The road crew will use the township’s paver to patch bad spots. The road crew will pick up the material, rather than have it delivered.
• After a brief discussion and feedback from solicitor James Fareri, the supervisors voted 3-0 in favor of Brian Ahner attending the Council of Government annual event as the township’s representative and receiving his regular roadmaster’s salary while he is away attending the event.
• The Park and Recreation committee is seeking vendors for its educational event on Oct. 2. The committee meets on May 26 at 6 p.m. at the township building.
• Granted a two-year extension to Coleman Solar Farm, but with conditions.
• The planning commission reviewed a zoning amendment request to decrease the number of days from 30 to 20 in which the party in violation has to comply. The supervisors voted 3-0 in favor of advertising this potential change and will set up a public hearing.
