In an article that appeared on March 25 concerning the guilty plea in Carbon County court of Steven P. McKenzie, 32, of Scotrun, to driving under the influence, the story stated the defendant was driving his vehicle northbound on Route 903 in Penn Forest Township, on Aug. 18, 2013, while a motorcycle, driven by Paul Herman, 54, of Jim Thorpe, was southbound and collided into McKenzie's vehicle.

McKenzie and Herman were both northbound at the time of the crash. A passenger with Herman, Debra L. VanPattern, of Jim Thorpe, was killed in the crash.McKenzie claims the cycle went onto the berm and as he attempted to pass it, it returned to the road and struck his vehicle.Herman disputes that account, claiming McKenzie ran into the rear of his motorcycle.
