Monroe County Commissioners

Monroe County Commissioners approved the following business:

• The sheriff’s office overtime report for the period ending April 24, with deputies, 23.25 hours; security, 50.5 hours, and clerks, 36.5 hours.

• Travel requests: The Public Defender’s Office: Angela Ramos-Morales to Harrisburg to attend the PACDL Annual Conference; Treasurer Theresa Johnson to Harrisburg for the Pennsylvania Treasurer’s Association Annual Conference.

• The commissioners also approved an agreement with Paradise Township at a cost of $100 for Area Agency on Aging to allow the agency to use the Township Park on May 20 to hold a senior center picnic.

• Amended purchase of service contract with Cornell Abraxas Group LLC to include residential mental health services.

• Executed the following Purchase of Service Agreements for the period of July 1, 2021, through June 30, for Genesis Home of New Beginnings, $110,000; ChildFirst Services Inc., $100,000; and Adelphoi Village Inc., $600,000.

• Authorized the chief clerk to advertise a public notice to announce the availability of funding requests for the 2022-2023 Human Services Development Fund and Homeless Assistance Program.

“Through the Emergency Rental Assistance Program we have handed out $14 million so far and that is one of the reasons we can keep adding vendors to our list,” Commissioner John Moyer said.

• A proposal from Schoonover & Vanderhoof in an amount not to exceed $9,600 for construction documents, bidding and construction for administration for the roof replacement project at the Monroe County Conservation District Office.

• Change order for the Courthouse Expansion/Renovation Project: Lobar Construction for $8,553.48.

• Approved the 2021/2022 Medical Assistance Transportation Program Third quarter Report in the amount of $104,814.04.

• Accepted a proposal from Emergency Management Consulting LLC (lowest of two proposals) in the amount of $9,500 to be paid from the 2022-2023 HMRF Grant, to conduct a commodity flow study for the county.

• An application for a Hazardous Materials Emergency Preparedness Grant with the PA Emergency Management Agency in the amount of $63,400.
