The Western Pocono Lioness Club will be selling Soup-in-a-Jar mix, homestyle chicken from 1-4 p.m. Friday at First Northern Bank in Gilbert. This is a program that happens simultaneously across the globe. The West End library will have board games, card games, thinking games and active games set up throughout the library. Prizes will be awarded throughout the day.This year the Brodheadsville library will come participating in the Global Gossip Game from 10 to 10:30 a.m. The game will begin in Australia and travel from library to library and country to country until it makes its way back to Australia. The results of the Global Gossip Game will be posted as soon as they are available.Craft showThe West End Fire Company will be hosting a craft show on Saturday. Doors open at 9 a.m. The show continues until 3 p.m. Vendors tables are available for a cost. For more information call Ray at 570-977-7822.Library craft showOn Sunday the Western Pocono Community Library will be hosting its annual craft show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.The show will feature over 100 crafters and vendors. Refreshments will be available for purchase. All proceeds benefit the library.Special distributionEffort UMC's food pantry will be open Saturday for those who preregistered for a Thanksgiving distribution.Advent decorationsMcMichaels UMC is making Advent decorations Saturday beginning at 2 p.m. Children may come with the adults. The project is making lids with pictures for the sanctuary for this year.Blessing servicePleasant Valley Assembly of God Church, Brodheadsville, will have a Thanksgiving Blessing Worship Service on Sunday at 5 p.m. After the service the church family will be putting the thanksgiving boxes together to give away at the school district.Polk SupersThe Polk Township Supervisors will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the township municipal building in Kresgeville.Knit & CrochetZion Lutheran Church's Knit & Crochet group will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Parish Hall.
