Jalissa Kuehner, head of the CCTI Marketing Department, and her students passed out smoothies to the CCTI committee members.
The department is in charge of running the school store, and smoothies are a recent addition to school sales.
Gracie Heintzelman, sophomore in Marketing, from Panther Valley High School, spoke about the store.
“The store closed in April 2020, due to the pandemic, and finally reopened the beginning of this school year.”
The store purchased equipment to make their own school store merchandise, thus cutting the costs and allowing the store to make a profit.
“We had a profit of $1,080.98 when we opened the store,” Heintzelman explained, “and now we have a balance of over $4,000.”
Funds raised so far have allowed the store to reinvest in itself.
“In February, we purchased a smoothie maker and sold over 422 smoothies so far,” Heintzelman said.
“We also purchased a popcorn machine this week and have sold over 50 bags so far.”
