Ethel "Schnable" Brazes of Walnutport is celebrating her 94th birthday. She was born Feb. 6, 1922, in Allentown. Her schooling and much of her early life was spent in Souderton. She came to Walnutport and worked for Paris Neckwear.

She was married to Alben Brazes for 51 years. They had four children: Fran, married to Ronald Snyder of Joppatowne, Maryland; Robert Brazes, married to Carol of Slatington; Patricia Solt of Palmerton; and Diane, married to Steven Trainer of Palmerton.She has seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The family visits frequently.Ethel lives with her grandson Jason Trainer and his wife, Christine, and their son Jaren.She has two brothers, Kermit and Ronald Schnable. Her brother Emerson Schnable, and sister Dorothy Stockert, are both deceased.She enjoys visiting casinos and playing cards with friends.
