A Monroe County man is facing drug charges following a traffic stop.

Pocono Mountain Regional Police said on Jan. 2 at 10 a.m. officers conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle along Route 940 in Mount Pocono. The driver as identified as Darell Long, 18, of Mount Pocono.

Police said Long had a felony warrant for possession of a stolen firearm and receiving stolen property. He was taken into custody for the warrant.

He was also in possession of marijuana. He was transported to the county prison in Snydersville on the warrant. Pocono police charged him with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. A records check indicates he is no longer an inmate in the county prison.
