Northern Lehigh School Board approved the following personnel matters on Monday:

Resignations

• Retirement resignation of Thomas Mertus, special education teacher, Slatington Elementary, effective Jan. 7, after 17.5 years of service.

• Melissa Wagner, confidential administrative assistant to the superintendent, effective April 13, after 1.5 years of service.

• Nicole Kaercher, instructional paraprofessional, Slatington Elementary, Dec. 17.

• Thomas Battista, substitute teacher, effective immediately.

• Wendy Brown, substitute cafeteria worker, effective Nov. 29.

• Susan Yesik, cook’s helper, middle school, effective Dec. 22.

Appointments

• Earl Loch, maintenance, $18.49 an hour, effective Dec. 27.

• Susan Yesik, custodian, $16.21 an hour, effective Jan. 3.

• Sara Duncan, cook’s helper, $13.50 an hour, effective Jan. 12.

Other

• Brittany Tremper, substitute paraprofessional, Peters Elementary only, 2021-2022 school year, at the 2021-2022 substitute rate as approved on the Supplemental Personnel Salary Schedule.
