Two new members of the Carbon County Recreation Authority were formally received during yesterday’s meeting of that agency.

They are Mark Leffler, retired Lehighton tax collector, and Margaret Kozuch, vice chairwoman of the Carbon County Democratic Party.

They were welcomed by Charles Getz, Albrightsville, who acted as chairman in the absence of Joseph Vadyak, Lansford.

Dennis DeMara, park director, informed the board of progress being made at the Environmental Education Center, where a former barn in being renovated under a project sponsored by the county’s conservation district, recreation authority and commissioners.
