Yozwiak for school board

Public schooling is as American as apple pie. It’s an opportunity for even the poorest among us to receive an education. But, there are people in favor of private charters, who are working to get rid of public education. They are well funded by donors such as Charles Koch and private school advocates. A Pennsylvania man named Jeffrey Yass recently donated $9 million to Students First PAC, which distributed it to other “school choice” groups.

One big problem with “choice” is that in the Pleasant Valley school system, the cost to send one student for one year to a private cybercharter is $16,000. DOUBLE the $8,000 cost of public in-school or public cyber. If taxpayers knew this, they’d be as angry as I am!

A recent GOP-sponsored meeting was held in Chestnuthill, where the talk was anti-mask, anti-vaccine, anti-Wolf and against the other school board members.

Current school board President Donna Yozwiak is a voice of reason, is an experienced educator, and should continue as a board member for another term. Please vote for her on Nov. 2.
