The Tamaqua Senior Citizens met Jan. 7 with 60 members in attendance. Vice President Nancy Gerber conducted the business session.Jacque Patrick provided the invocation "Holiday Joy and Pain." The meeting included a moment of silence in honor of the late Phil Price. Jane McLaughlin was welcomed back to the group.Members are reminded to bring brown bag lunches during the winter months.The next meeting will be held at 1 p.m. Jan. 14, at the Tamaqua YMCA, 1201 E. Broad St. The group is open to anyone 55 or older and the YMCA is handicap accessible.BloodmobileAn American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be in Tamaqua on Jan. 20, providing the perfect opportunity to start the new year giving others the "Gift of Life."The Bloodmobile will be held at St. John United Church of Christ, Pine and Biddle Streets.
