NORTHERN LEHIGH SCHOOL BOARD — OTHER
Northern Lehigh School Board approved the following on Monday:
• Entered into an agreement with edInsight at a cost of $10,450 per year for three years, with funding to come through the ESSER grant.
• Entered into an agreement between the school district and Lehigh Learning Academy for the purpose of furnishing regular education or special education programs for the students for the 2021-2022 school year.
• Approved the Northern Lehigh School District goals for the 2021-22 school year.
• Approved Sherri Molitoris to attend the A/CAPA Annual Conference, Oct. 27-29, at The Hotel Hershey, Hershey, with the cost of registration $425, lodging $594, and travel, $86, for a total cost of about $1,105, to be funded from the business office budget.
• Approved Tamara Stubits to attend the Pennsylvania Education Technology Expo & Conference, Feb. 7-8, at the Hershey Lodge, Hershey, with the cost of registration, $210, lodging $195, meals $50, and travel $90, for a total cost of about $546, to be funded through the assistant superintendent’s professional development budget.
• Approved Blasia Dunham to attend the Pennsylvania Education Technology Expo & Conference, Feb. 7-8, at the Hershey Lodge, Hershey, with the cost of registration $210, and meals $50, for a total cost of about $260, to be funded through the assistant superintendent’s professional development budget.
• Approved Sherri Molitoris to attend the 36th Annual PASPA Conference Feb. 23-25, at the Eden Resort, Lancaster, with the cost of registration $495, lodging $273, travel $88, for a total cost of about $906, to be funded from the business office budget.
• Approved Jennifer Butz to attend the SHAPE PA 100th Annual State Conference, Nov. 11-12, at Seven Springs Resort, Champion, with the cost of lodging $154, for a total cost of about $154, to be funded from the assistant superintendent’s professional development budget.
• Approved expulsion hearing waivers for two students. The students and guardians have agreed to waive their right to a formal expulsion hearing in front of the school board, and have also agreed to disciplinary action outlined in the waiver.
