On this date: Sept. 16, 1966

It was Wilbur G. Warner Night at the Lehighton Elks last evening as members of the organization recognized Lehighton’s well-known philanthropist and civic leader for his 42 years of service to the lodge.

More than 150 guests and lodge members attended the testimonial dinner in which Warner was presented a life membership pin to the Elks.

During his years of membership, Warner held many offices of the Lehighton and district lodges. He reached the height of his career with the organization 12 years ago when he was named secretary of the Pennsylvania Elks Association.

Among those who honoring Warner was the Exalted Ruler of the lodge, Kenneth Reid Sr.
