The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announces the following road work this week, weather depending:

Carbon County

• Kidder Township: Interstate 80 East road sign work between Exit 274 and Exit 277, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.

• Franklin Township: Route 209 road sign work between Cherry Hill Road and Wagner Street, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.

• Penn Forest Township: Route 903 road sign work between Butternut Road and Danner Road, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.

• Kidder Township: I-80 West road sign work between Exit 284 and Exit 277, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.

Lehigh County

• South Whitehall Township: Route 22 West between Cedar Crest Boulevard and Route 309, road sign work, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday.

• Upper Macungie, South Whitehall Township, and City of Allentown: Route 22, between Interstate 78 and 15th Street; daily weeknight lane restrictions between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. on Route 22 between Interstate 78 and the 15th Street exit for the ongoing pavement rehabilitation. Updates to work will be provided when available, through Friday.

• South Whitehall Township: Route 309 South, between Ridgeview Drive and Route 22, road sign work, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday.

• Upper Macungie Township: Route 22 East Between: Interstate 78 and Tilghman Street, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday.

• Whitehall Township: Route 22 between 15th Street and Route 145/ MacArthur Road; daily weeknight lane restrictions between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. on Route 22 between 15th Street exit and Route 145 for pavement rehabilitation project, through Friday.

• Allentown, Salisbury Township: Interstate 78 between Exit 55 (Route 29) and Exit 60 (Route 309), lane restriction for milling, concrete patching, paving, median barrier and guide rail work 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.; Interstate 78 between: Exit 57 (Lehigh Street) and Exit 59 (Route 145) 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday.

• Upper Macungie Township: Interstate 78 between Exit 49 (Route 100) and Exit 51 (Route 22); Restriction: Lane restrictions on I-78 east and west for road sign work by the PA Turnpike Commission. Expect delays and please use caution driving through the work zone, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Friday.

• Upper Macungie Township: Route 22 between: Interstate 78 and Tilghman Street; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

through Friday.

Monroe County

• Polk Township: Route 534 drainage between Jonas Road and Route 209, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.

• Stroudsburg Township: I-80 lane restriction between Exit 302 (Route 611) and New Jersey state line, 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday.

• Pocono Township: I-80 East shoulder work/widening between Exit 293 and Exit 299, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday.

• Pocono Township: I-80 inspection between Exit 299 and Exit 302 (Route 33 to Route 209), 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

• Multiple townships: Route 33 South lane restriction for wash out repair between Route 611 and Northampton County Line, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.

• Pocono Township: I-80 survey work between Exit 299 and Exit 302, all day; project began Aug. 23, 2021 and will last until approximately Oct. 29, 2021.

Northampton County

• Lower Nazareth Township: Route 33/Route 248 Interchange and Route 33/Hecktown Road Interchange construction and detours from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Route 248 to Route 33 South. Thursday and Friday, Route 33 South to Route 248.

• Lehigh Township: Route 248 pothole patching between Riverview Avenue and County Line, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.

Schuylkill County

• Pottsville, Route 209 inspection between Route 61 and Route 901, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday.
