Dave Petzold, Lake Harmony, a member of the Western Pocono Municipal Authority, has submitted his resignation as a member of that board, and it will be up to the township’s board of supervisors to take up the matter of a board vacancy at tonight’s meeting.

Petzold, vice chairman and a real estate executive at the Split Rock Lodge, gave no reason for his decision.

The supervisors are also expected to name a board member to succeed James Macalush, whose seat on the board of supervisors has been declared open because he failed to appear for several meetings. Harold Kresge and Kenneth McGeehan are the two remaining board members.
