Senior center

The menu at the Panther Valley Senior Center for the week of Feb. 11-15 is:

Monday: Chicken and gravy, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, cookie or beef and cheddar sandwich

Tuesday: Corn chowder, open hot beef sandwich, coleslaw, Jello or chicken club sandwich

Wednesday: Roast chicken, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, rice pudding or Cuban sandwich

Thursday: Fish almandine, parslied potatoes, snap peas, orange or chicken Cobb salad

Friday: Swedish meatballs, pasta shells, broccoli, apple cobbler or turkey Swiss wrap

The Panther Valley Senior Center has also announced upcoming events for Feb. 11-22.

Cards on Feb. 11 at 10 a.m.; Valentine Bingo presented by Independent Living Service on Feb. 12 at 11 a.m.; Poker-Keeno on Feb. 13 at 11 a.m.; Valentine’s Party on Feb. 14 at 11 a.m.; Movie & Popcorn on Feb. 15 at 10 a.m.

The center is closed on Feb. 18 in honor of Presidents Day; Birthday & Bingo on Feb. 19 at 11 a.m.; Hoodie Hoo Day, Chase away the winter blahs, on Feb. 20 at 11 a.m.; Cards on Feb. 21 at 10 a.m.; Saran Wrap Ball Game on Feb. 22 at 11 a.m.

Summit Hill

Economic development meeting

The Economic Development committee of the Summit Hill Borough Council will hold a meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday in the borough hall, 40 W. Amidon St.

This meeting will be the first of the monthly meetings to gather ideas on how residents would like to see the town grow economically and commercially to help strengthen the town’s tax base.

These will be brainstorming sessions to explore the possibilities for the future.

Residents are welcome to bring their ideas to help plan ahead.

Additional meetings will be March 11 and April 8.
