One person was seriously injured Tuesday evening when involved in a crash on the turnpike.

The crash occurred around 6 p.m. in the southbound lanes at the 79.4 mile marker.

Medics were reportedly doing CPR on the victim.

Franklin Township firefighters assisted at the scene.

Pocono state police are investigating the incident.
