The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announces the following road work this week, but be advised that road work schedules may change as needed due to changes in the weather:

Carbon County

• Kidder Township: Interstate 80 East between Exit 274 (Route 534) and Exit 277 (Route 940 / Turnpike), road sign work, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today through Friday; Interstate 80 West between Exit 284 (Route 115) and Exit 277 (PA Turnpike), road sign work, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday.

• Franklin Township, Route 209 between Cherry Hill Road and Wagner Street, road sign work, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., shoulder restrictions. Expect delays.

• Penn Forest Township, Route 903 between Butternut Road and Danner Road, road sign work, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday, Shoulder restrictions in both directions for sign structure work by the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.

• East Penn Township, Mahoning Mountain between Route 443 and Schuylkill County line, lane restriction with flagging in both directions, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., use caution when traveling in work zones.

• Nesquehoning, Route 54 between Route 209 and Schuylkill County Line, pothole patching, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. today through Tuesday.

• Packer Township, Packer Drive Route 93 and Spring Mountain Road, pothole patching, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, lane restriction with flagging in both directions.

• Banks Township, Cigar Plant Road, Route 93 and Luzerne County line, drainage work, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday, lane restriction in both directions.

Lehigh County

• South Whitehall Township, Route 22 West road sign work between Cedar Crest Boulevard and Route 309, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

• Upper Macungie, South Whitehall Township, and Allentown: Route 22 construction between I-78 and 15th Street, 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday.

• South Whitehall Township, Route 309 South road sign work between Ridgeview Drive and Route 22, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

• Upper Macungie Township, Route 22 East road sign work between I-78 and Tilghman Street, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

• Williams Township, I-78 inspection between Exit 71 and Exit 75, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

• Williams Township, I-78 East inspection between Exit 71 and Exit 75, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

• Lehigh Township, Walnut Drive shoulder work/widening between Cherry Hill Road and Elm Drive, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.
