Pictures with Santa will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Aquashicola Fire Co.This annual event is sponsored by Palmerton High School Class of 1972.Food pantryThe food pantry for Palmerton-area families in need will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday. The CACPAC-sponsored pantry is located at St. John's Lutheran Church, 2915 Fireline Road in Palmerton.The Food Bank is in need of canned goods, nonperishable food items and/or monetary donations. The clubs portable "HO" and "N" displays will also be in operation. There will be a Model Railroad Yard Sale.Admission is free; donations are welcome. This will be the last day for Grocery Cart donations. Food items go to the local CACPAC food pantry.The "Charlie Brown" Christmas tree will be set up in the narthex on Nov. 29.Craft showA Craft Show and Basket Social will be held at First United Church of Christ, 457 Delaware Ave., Palmerton, Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Basket Social will run from 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. and winners will be announced before 2 p.m. There will be a special door prize, homemade treats and goodies, and the kitchen will be open with breakfast and lunch menu.Palmerton libraryFrom noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, the Palmerton Area Library will host a book signing by author Bill Allison who wrote the book "The Apprentice."He will be in the main room with illustrator Jae Rehm, who is a Palmerton resident and a student at CCTI.Call the library at 610-826-3424 for information.A Library Bag Sale is taking place from Dec. 1-30.
