The public is invited to help dedicate a veterans' memorial in Lansford Borough on Saturday.

The monument, donated by the Carbon County Navy Club, Ship 260 will be dedicated in memory of all U.S. waterborne veterans, regardless of their branch of service or the time period they served.Lansford Mayor James Romankow will help dedicate the monument. Local representatives and state senators have been invited to attend the event as well.The dedication will take place at 1 p.m. Sundayat Kennedy Park in Lansford, located on West Patterson Street (Route 209).Borough council voted Wednesday night to allow the memorial to be placed in the park near the veterans memorial.
