Carbon County court — ARD

The following defendants were placed in Carbon County’s Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program by county judges this week.

If a person successfully completes all conditions of the program, their record will be wiped clean. However, if they fail to complete it, or are revoked from it, then they would face trial on all pending charges. A person does not admit guilt in entering the program.

Judge Nanovic

Placed by President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II:

Jimmie Brothers III, 31, of Lansford, on a felony 3 count of aggravated cruelty to animals placed for one year and assessed $450 for the cost of the program and ordered to attend and successfully complete an anger management course.

He was arrested on Dec. 30, 2020, by Lansford police for an incident along Snyder Avenue where he threw a cat out of an upstairs window.

Pamela Joy Reagan, 44, of Albrightsville, was placed for a year on a charge of retail theft, assessed $450 and ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow any recommendation for treatment.

She was arrested on Nov. 20, 2020, by Mahoning Township police at the Walmart store.

Heidi Faith Unterberg, 47, of Kunkletown, was placed for a year on a charge of retail theft, assessed $450, ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation and render 20 hours of community service.

She was arrested on Nov. 7, 2020, by Mahoning Township police at the Walmart store.

Christopher Michael Kilpatrick II, 20, of Lansford, was placed for a year on a charge of terroristic threats, assessed $450 and ordered to get a mental health evaluation and follow any recommendation for treatment and have no contact with the victim.

He was arrested on May 20, 2020, by Summit Hill police for an incident involving a borough resident.

Judge Serfass

Placed by Judge Steven R. Serfass:

Mamadou Hady Barry, 27, of Philadelphia, placed for a year on a driving under the influence charge, assessed $650 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service and license suspended for 60 days.

He was arrested on Aug. 29, 2020, by state police at Lehighton.

Leslie Dundore, 39, of Coaldale, was placed for a year on a charge of possession of marijuana, assessed $650 and ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation and render 50 hours of community service.

She was arrested on Aug. 5, 2020, by Lehighton police.

In a second case she was placed for another year on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, assessed $650 and ordered to render another 50 hours of community service.

She was arrested on Aug. 16, 2020, by Lehighton police.

Judge Matika

Placed by Judge Joseph J. Matika:

Isaiah Jonathan Gomez, 20, of Breinigsville, Lehigh County, was placed for six months on a charge of possession of a small amount of marijuana, assessed $450 and ordered to render 25 hours of community service.

He was arrested on July 19, 2020, by state police at Lehighton along Lakeside Drive in Towamensing Township, following a traffic stop.

Michelle Marie Sabo, 49, of Hazleton, was placed for two years on a charge of acquiring or obtaining possession of a controlled substance by misrepresentation, assessed $650 and ordered go get a drug and alcohol evaluation, render 100 hours of community service and stay out of Weatherwood Nursing Home in Weatherly.

She was arrested by Weatherly police on Jan. 14, 2019, for taking medications from the nursing home while employed at the facility.

Pamela Irene Schaeffer, 45, of Lehighton, was placed on a year on a driving under the influence of a controlled substance, assessed $600, and ordered to render 50 hours of community service and license suspended for 60 days.

Bradley Vaughn Re Shoop, 26, of Palmerton, was placed for a year on a charge of recklessly endangering another person, assessed $450 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service and make restitution to the victim for $376.26.

He was arrested on July 19, 2020, by state police at Lehighton for an incident along Spring Road in Lower Towamensing Township.

Each defendant must also pay court costs of about $1,000 and a $50 per month supervision fee while in the program.
