The Mauch Chunk Opera House celebrated the life of a mainstay of the Jim Thorpe arts community Thursday night.

Lynnstock was held in memory of Lynn Highland, who died in a fire in her home on May 30. Her husband Tom is in Lehigh Valley Hospital Burn Center.

All the proceeds from the event were donated to her family.

The program featured poetry that Highland wrote and performed on the opera house stage for 40 Story Radio Tower, and included musical performances by Vince DeGiosio and Christie McGorry, and Free Range Folk. Donations for the Highland family are being accepted at a GoFundMe account for the Highland family.
