Jeffrey Collins, Tamaqua's first artist in residence, explains how he combines acrylic mediums and yarn to create a look all his own,producing art that's a cross between painting and sculpture. Collins introduced his special gift Saturday at an exhibition inside the Tamaqua Community Arts Center, where the Columbus, Ohio,resident announced he intends to remain in Tamaqua because "there's always something going on."
