Shelby Berger, daughter of Jennifer and Terry Berger of Weatherly, has been named Senior of the Month for October at Weatherly Area High School.

Shelby is manager of the boys' soccer team, and is a member of the Interact Club, Partners in Education, and the yearbook club. For her graduation project, Shelby produced a documentary chronicling her lifelong friend Morgan Mengle's journey through life with a rare form of congenital heart defect. The film was debuted at Morgan's Miracle Heart CHD Awareness Event, held recently in Weatherly.In the community, Shelby volunteers her time through the Helping Hands Society. She is employed by Valley Nursery Landscaping, Weatherly.
