Body found in vehicle not suspicious

Police said the death of a woman whose body was found in a vehicle along a Monroe County road on Thursday is not suspicious.

State police at Fern Ridge said at 6:48 a.m. troopers received an emergency phone call from a man about a suspicious vehicle was parked on Burger Hollow Road in Chestnuthill Township, near his residence, and a woman was in the back seat. Troopers responded to the scene and discovered the deceased woman in the backseat of the vehicle.

The woman was reported missing by her husband on March 23. The woman reportedly was last spoken to on March 22 at 8:12 p.m. Troopers said the death is not suspicious in nature. The cause of death is pending an autopsy.
