Two people entered guilty pleas to drug counts on Monday in Carbon County court before President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II.

Tanya Louise Partington,26, of Palmerton, pleaded to two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.She was arrested on Jan. 27, 2015, in the area of 939 Mauch Chunk St., by Palmerton police. Police responded to a report of suspicious activity in a parked vehicle. Partington was one of the people in the vehicle and found to have paraphernalia related to heroin use. She is currently serving a one-year probation term in another matter.Nanovic placed her on probation for a total of two years on both counts running consecutive to each other but concurrent to her prior term. She was also ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation and zero tolerance imposed on drug and alcohol use.Brad Allen Sharwell,54, of Albrightsville, pleaded to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arrested on March 14, 2014, at the domestic relations office along Susquehanna Street by Jim Thorpe police. He was found with various types of paraphernalia.Nanovic placed him on probation for a year and ordered he get a drug and alcohol evaluation and zero tolerance imposed on drug and alcohol use.Both defendants must also pay court costs of about $1,000 and a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation.
