A Schuylkill County man has been charged for assault with a knife following a domestic incident.

State police at Frackville said troopers were called to an incident involving a knife at 1:54 p.m. March 23 at a residence along Back Street in Mary?D, Schuylkill Township.

Upon investigation it was determined that John Swenson, 58, of Mary?D, grabbed, pushed and shoved a 60-year-old woman from Mary?D.

During the fight, Swenson held a knife to the victim’s throat and threatened to stab her.

Records indicate he is an inmate in the county prison in Pottsville. The investigation is continuing.
