A former Carbon County woman who admitted stealing, even from her grandfather, was sentenced to a county prison term on Tuesday after pleading guilty in two pending cases.

Tori Beth Fisher, 32, of Blakeslee, and formerly of Weissport, pleaded to two counts of theft by receiving stolen property before Judge Steven R. Serfass and was immediately sentenced to serve a total of six to 12 months in prison.Fisher was charged in connection with two incidents on March 4, 2015, in Nesquehoning and a second incident on April 21, 2015, in Weissport.Nesquehoning police charged her with her part in stealing items, mostly power tools, from a residence. The stolen items were found in a vehicle during a stop by police in which Fisher was a passenger and admitted her part in the theft.She was charged by state police at Lehighton in the April incident with stealing from her grandfather.Fisher admitted to a heroin addiction problem and said she stole to support that habit. She said she is seeking help for the problem.She told Serfass, "I'm sorry for what I did to my grandfather."In addition to the jail term Serfass ordered her to render a total of 100 hours of community service when released on parole, get a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow any recommendations for treatment, zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use, make restitution of $657.50 to Jones, pay court costs of about $1,000 and pay a $50 per month supervision fee while on parole. She was given credit for six days already served and was granted permission to apply for work release privileges.She is currently an inmate in the Lehigh County prison, awaiting action on a probation violation petition filed by the adult probation office in that county.
