Matt King, representing Americare Home Care Services Inc.of Bloomsburg, left, presents a $1,000 check to Henry Desrosiers, American Legion Post 304, Jim Thorpe, service officer, on behalf of Steve Brink, president of Americare. Americare is the endorsed home care company for the Pennsylvania American Legion. The money will be used to help cover costs for the upcoming 62nd annual fishing derby, hosted by the American Legion and Germantown Grove Association, for Carbon County's special needs students. The event will be held in the Germantown section of Jim Thorpe on May 14 and 15, beginning at 9 a.m. Volunteers are needed to help the students.
