Crystal View Carriage Service swept several categories during the state's 100th annual Farm Show. Owned by Kyle Hoppes, of New Ringgold, the Percheron draft horse team brought home the gold in multiple classes during the Draft Horse Pleasure Show Jan. 14.

Hoppes's four horses, Tux, Kane, Woody and Sye, won several hitch classes including Ladies' Cart, Senior Youth Cart, Multiple Hitches, and Feed Scurry. The 2008 established business also won first place in the commercial team category. Other exhibitors showing for Crystal View Carriages included Heidi Blankenbiller-Gilmore, Cassidy Roadarmal and Emily Mitchell."This was our fourth year at farm show. In previous years we also won multiple classes as well. We enjoy competing with horses from all over Pennsylvania. We are always excited to see our horses win, but win or lose we mostly enjoy spending time with all the draft horse families across the state," Mitchell said.The four Percherons can be seen most weekends pulling carriages through the historic district of Jim Thorpe."Our favorite part of the carriage business is that we enjoy traveling with our horses to various locations. Providing horse-drawn transportation for all kinds of events," Mitchell said.
