Carbon County crashes

Police report the following crashes in Carbon County:

• A crash along Interstate 80 in Kidder Township, Carbon County, was reported at 4:22 p.m. on Feb. 1.

State police at Fern Ridge said Michael A. Frazier, 51, of Tobyhanna, was driving a 2017 Nissan Pathfinder westbound when his vehicle slid into the guide rail when he was going around a right curve. The vehicle then re-entered the road and struck the guide rail on the opposite of the road before coming to rest.

Frazier was not injured and the vehicle had to be towed.

Frazier was cited for not having a valid license.

• A one-vehicle crash was reported at 1:45 p.m. Jan. 26 along Little Gap Road in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County. Troopers said Matthew D. Rogers, 19, of Kunkletown, was driving a 2006 Subaru Outback westbound when the vehicle hit a patch of ice on the slush covered road causing him to lose control. The passenger side front corner of the vehicle impacted with an embankment along the berm.

Rogers was not injured but the vehicle had to be towed.
