State police at Fern Ridge are investigating a fraud incident.

Troopers said a 26-year-old man from Saylorsburg, Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, reported he was asked to send pictures of two Vanilla gift cards worth $600 through the application “telegram.” The victim believed he would be getting investment services from the unknown suspects. The victim never received any more contact from the suspects after sending the card information. The gift cards were later used to make two separate purchases online.

The investigation into the incident is continuing.
