Two Carbon County drivers were involved in a crash in Luzerne County. State police at Hazleton said the crash occurred at 7:17 a.m. Jan. 25 at the intersection of Stockton Mountain Road at Club 40 Road, in Hazle Township.

Troopers said Kayla M. Kashlak, 24, of Lansford, driving a 2018 Subaru Impreza, was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection while Renee Marciante, 46, of Jim Thorpe, driving a 2020 Subaru Outback, was eastbound on Stockton Road. Troopers said Kashlak entered the intersection and her vehicle struck Marciante’s vehicle.

Neither driver was injured.

A passenger with Marciante, a 15-year-old girl from Jim Thorpe, was taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital - Hazleton Campus, for a suspected minor injury. Both vehicles were towed.

Kashlak was cited for stop sign violation.
