West Penn Township officials at a special meeting Monday morning awarded over $200,000 in bids for various projects.

Supervisors unanimously agreed to award the township's bituminous seal coat bid project to AMS, for $192,137.Additionally, supervisors awarded a piping materials project to Chemung Supply for $23,697.Also, supervisors awarded various bids for road materials to Lehigh Asphalt & Construction Company; for vegetation spraying to DBI Services at a cost of about $1,400; and agreed to have pipe-installation work done in-house.Also on Monday, supervisors passed a resolution for the office of fire chief and assistant fire chiefs.The resolution acknowledges Dennis Fritzinger Jr. as fire chief and Jeff Bradford and Rick Mertz as assistant fire chiefs.
