Carbon County commissioners

The commissioners, on Thursday, acted on or spoke about the following items:

• Accepted a letter of resignation from Darryl J. Brewster from the Carbon County Parks and Recreation Commission, effective Jan. 1.

• Ratified change order 3 to the proposal from Visual Sound of Broomall to provide a new ceiling mounted projector and presentation audio for the audio and video technological upgrades to the equipment in the commissioners conference room at a cost of $2,517.61.

• Approved a contract from Environmental Systems Research Institute Inc. of Redlands, California, for the maintenance of 14 ArcGIS online user account licenses from Feb. 21, 2021, to Feb. 20, 2022. The cost is $6,846 and includes 500 credits per license.

• Approved establishing a three-year service agreement with PenTeleData for internet access and email capabilities via cable modem for the animal shelter at a monthly fee of $67.95.

• Approved purchasing and service agreement with Edwards Business Systems of Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, for a high-speed friction folder tabletop folder at a cost of $4,499, located in the elections office.

• Commissioner Chris Lukasevich reminded everyone that the elections bureau has been relocated to 410 Center Ave., Jim Thorpe, during the renovation project of the 44 and 76 Susquehanna St. buildings.
