State police at Fern Ridge are investigating the death of a 17-month old girl.

Troopers said on Jan. 7 at 2:24 p.m. they were dispatched to a residence along Lakeside Road in Chestnuthill Township for a report of a unresponsive infant.

An EMS unit arrived on scene and determined the infant was deceased.

Troopers did not release any other information but stated it is an ongoing investigation.
