State police at Stroudsburg report on incidents

State police at Stroudsburg report on the following incidents:

• Two people were cited for harassment by physical contact after police were called to a domestic disturbance at 5:14 p.m. Dec. 9 along Mountain Vista Road in Hamilton Township.

Police said a 22-year-old Jim Thorpe woman and a 24-year-old Stroudsburg man were cited after the verbal argument they were involved in turned physical.

• A traffic stop made by police at 11:41 a.m. Dec. 5 resulted in a 35-year-old woman from Albrightsville being charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police said they stopped the 1998 Nissan Altima at the intersection of Municipal and Foxmoor drives in Middle Smithfield Township for a Motor Vehicle Code violation and discovered the woman was under the influence.

• A 25-year-old Kunkletown man is facing drug possession charges after a traffic stop made by state police at the Stroudsburg barracks at 10:18 a.m. Dec. 23 on Route 33 in Wind Gap.

Police said the man was driving a 2013 Nissan Juke when it was stopped for a violation, after which time police found him to be in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

He was transported to the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville, for processing and was then released.

• Two people were cited after police at the Stroudsburg barracks made a traffic stop at 10:11 a.m. Dec. 4 at the intersection of Fawn Road and Paradise Township in Stroud Township.

Police said they stopped the 2000 Chevrolet Impala for having an expired inspection sticker on it and found the driver, a 46-year-old Stroudsburg man, to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police said a 45-year-old woman from Saylorsburg who was a passenger in the car was cited for disorderly conduct.

Names were not released in any of the incidents.
