State police report on Monroe crashes

State police at Stroudsburg report on the following crashes:

• Fredrick Carabello, 34, of East Stroudsburg, was injured in crash at 7:55 a.m. Dec. 18 on Route 33 in Hamilton Township.

Police said he sustained suspected minor injuries and was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono, East Stroudsburg, by West End EMS personnel.

The crash occurred when he was driving a 2012 Hyundai Tucson northbound and lost control of the vehicle while changing lanes. Police said the Hyundai struck a 2019 tractor trailer driven by Michael Riedinger, 57, of Wind Gap, before leaving the road and striking the guardrail.

The Hyundai was towed from the scene, police said.

• Police said the driver of a vehicle that was involved in a crash at 9:12 p.m. Dec. 12 at the intersection of Manor Drive and Route 33 in Hamilton Township fled the scene.

Police said the vehicle was westbound on Manor Drive when the driver failed to stop for a stop sign, proceeded into the intersection and hit a 2016 Subaru operated by George T. Argyropoulos, 63, of East Stroudsburg.

The Subaru sustained disabling damages and was towed from the scene.

None of the two occupants in the Subaru was injured in the crash, police said.

• Tanya Cammarata, 24, of Brodheadsville, was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed after a one-vehicle crash at 12:37 p.m. Dec. 9 on Greenview Drive in Hamilton Township.

State police at the Stroudsburg barracks said she was uninjured.

She was driving a 2016 Ford Escape northbound and was traveling too fast for snowy conditions on a slippery road. She lost control of the Escape which traveled on the east side of the road and struck a tree.

Police said the vehicle sustained disabling damages and needed to be towed from the scene.
