Dean's list

Molly McArdle has received notification from King's College that she has received a certificate for the highest level of academic excellence with the honor of inclusion on the spring 2016 dean's list.She received a 3.75 GPA. Molly, a resident assistant at the college, will be entering her junior year in the fall. A 2014 graduate of Jim Thorpe Area High School, she is majoring in criminal justice. She is the daughter of Laura Ann and Kevin McArdle.Class breakfastMembers of the 1967 and 1969 graduating class of Jim Thorpe Area High School, will meet for breakfast at 10 a.m. Monday at the Boulevard Restaurant, Lehighton. All classmates and spouses are invited to attend.Volunteers neededSt. John's Lutheran Church, South Avenue, is getting ready for its annual clothing giveaway, which will begin Aug. 4.There is a need for volunteers to help sort clothing that is donated for this worthy cause. A meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Good Shepherd Room, if you are interested in helping.
