Minor damage was done after a vehicle struck the front of a restaurant in Jim Thorpe Tuesday afternoon.

Borough police Chief Joe Schatz said police were dispatched at 2:15 p.m. to Molly Maguires Pub & Steakhouse.

Schatz said police found damage to the front part of the main building.

He said the driver, Brianna Markle, 27, of Lehighton, claimed that she was backing up but didn’t realize the shifter was in drive.

Schatz said there were no injuries.

He said the front covering where customers walk into the main part of the bar suffered moderate damage.

Schatz said no citations were filed.

He said the establishment was closed after the incident.
